When I Was A Child – Just Before the Helpers Come

When I was a child so small
I dreamed of a mountain very tall
I flew so high till I had to fall
Back to you
Each child’s face I’ve seen since then
Reminds me heavens singing
In my heart and within
I within yours

Mother Earth she’s just like you and me
She loves sing sweet melody
Be dancing in great harmony always
Give her your respect my friends
Live her life like yours depends
Someday we may begin again inside
Inside her heart Sacred Heart

Down the river flowing in your eyes
To the ocean door of the skies
Where everyone is sure to know night’s light
Stars fall in the evening blue
Your eyes shine in mornings dew
Grace fills every part of you with Love
In the snake the eagle and the mourning dove

Once in springtime I was sown
Then in summertime I was grown
Now in awe time I have blown away
To Mother Earth who made me
And Father Sky who sets us free
In the One Great Spirit
We come from and go home to
Home anew
